An enlightened
philosophy
"On the front line in the face of climate change, our duty is to preserve the heritage that has been bequeathed to us. I defend a sustainable and benevolent model, and wish to help restore the right balance between man, nature and the energies that surround us."
We cannot only provide technological solutions and must understand the energies that surround us, in particular telluric and cosmic energies to promote the natural evolution of the vines and move towards healthy agriculture without chemical dogma. I am convinced that the link between man and plants is essential in order to better understand their benefits and to care for the vine.
It is by integrating a sensory and spiritual dimension into our actions that we can get closer to harmony between the different kingdoms - animal, plant, and mineral - so that man is in symbiosis with his ecosystem.
This is my quest… to become an enlightened winemaker.
The WINEMAKER
After advising CAC companies for 25 years on environmental protection and sustainable development, I wanted to act directly in contact with nature and make wine by integrating what I learned to develop sustainable development.
With my experience in sustainable development, I know that there are no ready-made solutions. We must constantly seek the right balance and identify the necessary compromises to build a sustainable and benevolent model. My mission goes far beyond making good wine. A well-made wine that honors the sacred nature. The path infront of me is still long. I will be happy to share it with you.
The terroir
At the top of the Dentelles de Montmirail, the domain extends over 8 hectares whose 4 hectares in Gigondas at an altitude of 500 meters on steep terrain protected by high limestone rocks and nestled in a cocoon of greenery. The soils are mainly clay-limestone and sandy clay silt and profit from the natural freshness that characterizes our wine.
A VIRTUOUS MODEL
“To do good” is inseparable from “to do well”. I am committed to developing a viticulture that respects the environment, the living and as well as a quality and eco-responsible vinification. In the vineyard, all the work consists in putting the vines in an environment favorable to living things in order to be in full health and resist diseases and various constraints on their own (eg drought).
The development of the already rich biodiversity on this terroir is a main axis.
In the winery, I strive to limit inputs and limit consumption as much as possible. Beyond the water and biodiversity aspects, a low-carbon and eco-responsible approach is favored from planting (eg mass selection) to packaging. We have a duty to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions through our practices and the carbon storage capacity of our soils.
The Wines
Several cuvees exist today to crown my holistic approach where nothing is left to chance. Alongside the Œnologue Olivier Roustang, I give life to cuvees that allow me to share my philosophy with lovers of well-made wines.
My most sincere wish is that you feel my approach and the energy of my wines during the tasting and that in some way you too honor the sacred Nature.
